A slightly less than full house (it was after the Bank Holiday Weekend after all!) saw Reginald D Hunter, save the show. Jason Wood was supposed to headline this night, but pulled out at 5pm. Frantic phoning around by myself and Geoff Whiting lead to Reginald being booked at the last minute.......we nearly pulled the show.

And what a great show it was. Andy Robinson was on top form. He amazed the audience with his shadow puppetry....."an octopus" someone kept shouting. And many thanks to the comedy god and the man who made marble bar tops!!!!

Support came in the form of Lara Silverstone -whom I shocked by taking a photo of her! Oppps.

Syd Selby and Fanny. Wow! Weren't they great! Remember you sa them here first!!!!!

Finally. Reginald D Hunter. Fantastic. He had the audience mesmarised by her gentle story-telling style. I've never seen a comedian surrounded by so many members of the audience afterwards.

As one bloke said to me afterwards "if that is what your stand-in comedian was like. Gawd, the proper headliner must have been something else!!!"
