Al Pitcher - the compere for the evening. Al used to the regular compere at our club. He has now been snapped up by Avalon Promotions and is fast rising up the comedy ladder to stardom. It was great to see him back. Still as brilliant as ever

Headliner was John Oliver. He looks and sounds like David Baddiel, but is twenty times funnier. I nearly knocked my pint over, creased with laughter when he told the story about the business man getting his head trapped in the doors of the London Underground Train - sheer genius!
