A packed
house saw a great nights entertainment.
First
on was Jon Simmit. He
has an excellent story telling style - the audience listened
intently to the true stories of when the Jamaican and Mexican
football teams had an on-pitch riot - not realising that the
Jamaican football team came from the Kingston ghetto. Excellent

In
the middle section we had two acts whom you are going to see
alot of in the future. First Jamie Douglas - his first few jokes
were fumbled, but then he had the inspired idea of getting the
audience to shout 'jump' is he fumbled a joke. Brilliant, he
had the audience in the palm of his hand from there on.

Second
act in the middle was Dalton
Trumbo's Reluctant Cabaret. Brilliant. They are so
different to anything on the circuit at the moment. They had
the audience rolling with laughter

Dan Atkinson our
compere.

Addy Borgh - he
did a fifty minute set (in encore). Fantastic! His act is honed
to perfection, there is no part of it where the audience weren't
laughing
