After a
run of full houses, there has to be the envitable empty house
and this was it! ...... and what a brilliant show everyone missed!

First act
of the night was Sol
Bernstein. This was the first time he has performed
in Birmingham and what an act! Brilliant! You have to see this
act. Sol Bernstein looks like Alf Garnett, has the wackiness
of Mel Brooks and the gags of Jackie Mason. For example: "I
don't need viagra, I need a WOMAN!" "I survived the
camps .....the Holiday Camps!" and to a member of the audience
"would you like to be a jew? No? Are you some kind of Nazi
bastard?".......he has this section about how Hilter really
wanted to be a comedian "he was perfect! A funny moustache
and a lovely smile" Genius. This act is going to massive!

Compere for
the evening was Dave Lemkin.
This act has really come on, with top class material. It can't
be long before he is headlining in other clubs.
